It's Official: #BioWare Will Be Releasing Free Ending #DLC for Mass Effect 3 | #ME3
It’s been one hell of a month for Mass Effect fans. Since early March, the fanbase has been seething over the widely reviled ending to Mass Effect 3, with many actively calling for BioWare to change it via DLC. Two weeks later, BioWare announced that it was working on “game content initiatives” that would address issues of clarity and narrative. Today, fresh on the heels of The Consumerist naming EA as 2012’s Worst Company in America, and just in time for BioWare to potentially avoid a bloodbath at PAX East tomorrow, we have an answer. Yes, there will be DLC that extends the ending. And yes, it will be free.

Write your state’s congressperson and tell them that you consider active combat-ready DRONES operating state-side, to be just as horribly unacceptable & unpatriotic as any recent legislation or executive order… Including the recent and equally disconcerting allowance of the indefinite detention of US citizens (as laid out in Obama’s recent NDAA order)! The citizens of the USA will NOT stand for a fascist police state, and we seem to be getting a step closer to that with every passing day! Please urge your Representatives to do everything in their power to retain our privacy and our freedoms..

ACTA in a Nutshell –
What is ACTA? ACTA is the Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement. A new intellectual property enforcement treaty being negotiated by the United States, the European Community, Switzerland, and Japan, with Australia, the Republic of Korea, New Zealand, Mexico, Jordan, Morocco, Singapore, the United Arab Emirates, and Canada recently announcing that they will join in as well.
Why should you care about ACTA? Initial reports indicate that the treaty will have a very broad scope and will involve new tools targeting “Internet distribution and information technology.”
What is the goal of ACTA? Reportedly the goal is to create new legal standards of intellectual property enforcement, as well as increased international cooperation, an example of which would be an increase in information sharing between signatory countries’ law enforcement agencies.

I have only posted about OWS one other time. I just can’t let this go by.
This is what can happen to you and your body if you just show up, place your body somewhere that freaks out the establishment, and actively protest the problems inherent and rampant in the system. Holy fuck.
We owe it to this woman to look in her eyes, to see her face, to SEE her. We owe it to her to hold her gaze, to not move our eyes away because it is hard to look. We need to keep looking at her specifically BECAUSE it is hard to look.
This breaks my heart.

Queer People Not My People
I expected to lose a lot transitioning from a gay identified boy to a trans woman. I’ve lost family, once-called “best friends”, and the ability to find a man on A4A for some anonymous one night stands. What I didn’t expect was the loss of queer communities as a safe space for me. I once idolized queer spaces, now I always enter them in trepidation, even the ones I’ve helped build and maintain. I write this piece still reeling at how much anger I felt last night, still picking out the tear-dried clumps of mascara from my eyes. It’s the slow realization that I am often the only trans woman in the room, and that queer people love throw around my identity as part of their little acronym, but would rather not hear from me.
Brilliant, eloquent, and sadly, so true…

As a side note, I am really frustrated with tumblr’s color palate… and what is with the ~12 crappy fonts that are mostly nearly identical? I gotta say, as a design nerd, I am pretty disappointed. Did the best I could, but I know its nothing spectacular; so don’t hesitate to tell me its awful and how sore your eyes now are. :P
